Research Interests
- Molecular epidemiology of PRRSV
- Genetic characterization of PCV2
- Swine health and production systems
Research
My research focuses on the molecular epidemiology of viral diseases affecting swine production systems. I am particularly interested in the genetic diversity, evolution, and transmission dynamics of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV) and Porcine Circovirus type 2 (PCV2).
My work integrates molecular virology, epidemiological analysis, and field data from commercial swine farms to better understand pathogen circulation and support disease control strategies.
Applied Work
I am also the founder of EPISUIS, an independent initiative focused on epidemiology-driven solutions for swine production systems, integrating health, production, and data analysis to support decision-making in commercial farms. Learn more →
